Self Compassion Reflection

Students engage in a guided self-compassion meditation. Then, they work in groups to share a time when they were self-critical or unkind to themselves. One member of the group retells their story from the perspective of a compassionate friend. Students reflect on how this activity impacted how they feel, as well as how their view of the story they told may have changed based on hearing another person’s compassionate retelling of it.
