A Declaration of Interdependence was one of the first global-participatory films. With music by Moby, this 4 min film reimagines the Declaration of Independence as a Declaration of Interdependence instead. When it was released in 2011, this global mash-up of user-generated videos and graphics, demonstrated the vast potential of
online creative collaboration in the 21st century.

A Declaration of Interdependence was volunteer translated into 75 languages (click on the CC icon to see). 

When we launched A Declaration of Interdependence in 2011, we offered free customized versions of the film to nonprofits around the globe. We'd put their logo and their message at the end, and it would look like it was their film, that they could use in many ways (fundraising, kicking off an event, social, spreading an important message). We made thousands of these free films for amazing organizations. We no longer have the grant to do these for free, but people are still able to use this film to screen at any event, organization or school.

This was the first of what we called "Cloud Films," where we make films collaboratively with people all over the globe. We went on to make several more "Cloud Films" that you can watch at our film link below.
