Join thousands of film screenings around the world on May 10, 2017 to discuss how we are going to get to a more gender balanced world that is better for everyone. Using the same model of Character Day, all of these thousands of events will screen the 20 minute film 50/50: Rethinking the Past, Present, and Future of Women + Power (watch it here). They will then dive into printed discussion kits with conversation cards and discussion guides for different ages. There will also be a Global Livecast Q&A that links together all the screenings, featuring experts in the field of gender equality from all different perspectives. Participants can tap in to any or all of these speakers and ask questions through social media. Everything is free thanks to generous grants and donations. Sign up your company, school, family, or any other group! Learn more here.
#CharacterDay2016 had over 92,000 events in 124 countries in all 50 states.
What will #CharacterDay2017 have in store?
On September 13, 2017, join hundreds of thousands of people around the globe for the fourth annual Character Day — a free day and global initiative where school districts, organizations, families, and congregations of all sizes screen films on the science of character development from different perspectives, dive into free printed discussion materials catered to different ages, and join an online global conversation around the importance of developing character strengths (resilience, grit, empathy, courage, kindness)–all rooted in evidence-based research.
